The quiet pump, on display
In the showroom light: six SunRay hybrids. Each runs 100% solar-powered only under the sun, and none of them asks the grid for help.
Exhibits from $1,999
What makes the pad quieter
The smaller models use a DC brushless motor, so the soundtrack of the yard changes.
The panels arrive with the kit, dedicated to the pump and nothing else.
A piece that needs no grid
Unlike grid-tie arrays, no AC is needed for the solar to work.
Connect AC only if you want the pump to carry on after dark, a spa at night for example.
The figure on the placard
Owners usually save $100 to $250 a month, as local rates and sunshine allow.
